Hi, my name is Wegahta. I was born in Hawzien, a small town in the north of Ethiopia. I moved to Addis Ababa two years ago to start a degree in tourism marketing at the University of Addis Ababa.
Before I began my studies, I worked as a tour guide in the Danakil Depression (Ethiopia’s famous volcano). Here, I helped visitors from all over the world – from Japan to Israel and everywhere in between – to discover the wonders of this fascinating part of Ethiopia. During this experience I improved my English and even picked up a little bit of Spanish.
I’ve got a wide network of reliable contacts around Addis Ababa and wider Ethiopia, so I can arrange tailored tours to fit the exact needs of any visitor, whether they want to drive into the mountains, discover the southern tribes, or just take a convenient city tour around Addis. I can arrange your trip so you can travel just like a local, or in the lap of luxury – it’s up to you.
Feel free to get in touch with me to find out more about how I can help you discover Ethiopia.
